I must admit that I have never understood the loyalty some have with a particular AV. It "aint a wife, but just software. When it fails or changes effectiveness or the ability to run well on a system, then dump it, and get one that does well.

While BD may well be a good engine, my own experience with their support, and the attitude that is someone else's fault, convinced me to never consider BD again.
There are too many other choices of AVs that are as good or better, and do not pose the "can't get along" problem that BD does.

    Regards,
    Jerry

I have used many AVs in my life. Almost all well known and few less known. With due regrads to all of them I can put my faith on mainly on five
Avira, Avast, Kaspersky, Dr. Web and Bitdefender. This is my choice only and there is not many concrete logic behind it. Among these bitdefender is the one I like but could never use for long due to it's instability.

    Hello,
I'm currently using Defender Pro 2010 - which is in reality a rebadged Bitdefender Internet Security 2010 - but it's a lot cheaper :) Still get good support, etc.

Anyway I'm running this program on Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium without any issues.

I have it running alongside SUPERAntispyware Pro.

Not sure why some people are having issues but it seems to work well with me.

I think perhaps the original poster has too much security software. I'd suggest uninstalling everything - reinstalling Bitdefender and then try installing your security apps. :)

I can understand the love relationship as mine seems to have been with Defender Pro the last couple of years :)

Only thing that sucks about Defender Pro is that if you buy a one year license for 2010 you can't upgrade to 2011. So I buy a one year license for 20 bucks and then I renew my license and get to download the 2011 version. Isn't Bitdefender Internet Security like 50 a year?

Thanks Kevin523, I have already uninstalled Bitdefender and installed Emsisoft Antimalware. I will try Bitdefender in v2011.
