Did you reinstall it on a reformatted drive or after a new reinstall of your OS?

Am I right in thinking the IS and Global Protection versions are as good, or better, than the free version, only with extra bells and whistles?

Protection should be at same level. As with Avast. Only difference should be "bells and whistles".

Why is Panda being sued by the government? Read this on a review of Panda Security.

"..Unfortunately, in no small part because of the ongoing court proceedings over the product's tech support, this isn't the year..." From below link

I just saw this, don't know anything about it, that's why I asked.

now it makes sense. I purchased a 2 year license for Panda AV Pro and because their tech support never replies, and their forum is almost dead with only one guy who replies with vague answers, I got a full refund after fighting so much for it as they don't even entertain refunds. Great AV with a company that is spoiled by bad customer service.

I was curious to know more about Panda's Collective Intelligence, and from where they gather all data. But all I could find is this

What does other organizations mean ?

Compared to Avast or AVG, Panda has much lesser user base, still they have a very good detection rate. If the signature is gathered only from Panda users then its detection rate should be far less than Avast or AVG, but its not. Can someone enlighten me more on their collective intelligence technology ?

I can't find changelog anywhere, maybe they haven't released it yet?

Edit: There is Gaming/multimedia mode in the settings (i don't remember seeing it there before) and GUI feels less laggy now :)

Wish they add the safe browsing feature in the free version.

I'm not talking about url filtering. There is a component in the Pro version called safe browsing. I don't know how different it is from url filtering but its good to have a component incorporated into Panda rather than a separate component made by visicom media.

Is custom install possible in Panda antivirus pro? I don't want the firewall component and wi-fi monitor.

  23. I noticed that the icon changed from 15.0 to 15.1, only changes I make when I install the free version:
    - Disable Panda News
    - Permanent protection - Enable "ask before neutralizing a virus"
    - On demand scans - Enable "Scan decompressed files"

Panda is really a nice freebie, consistent performance in tests and low system impact.

Does it finally change color or appearance if you disable the real-time protection?
If you for some reason need to do this the old one just looks the same, making you forget to enable again :thumbd:
