Hello, just wondering about todays update, this is the first time I have noticed the number of references go down.

    May 21: 24854 references - 8117 primaries - 6585 traces / 10152 variants

    May 22: 24830 references - 8101 primaries - 6583 traces / 10146 variants

Is this as it should be?

Looks like yesterday's update, where did you get it, do you remember? Or did anything special happen?
What happens if you update manually from the update site?

    Hi guestimator

The update from may 21st is the latest. Sometimes you might get a wrong update, depending on your location and timesetting.
Try to update again. You always can get the latest update here

Updated through the program, just updated again and is now showing
May 22: 24854 references - 8117 primaries - 6585 traces / 10152 variants, just as it was before the first update.

Must have been a glitch with the update sever or something?

BTW, May 22 is the date on this side of the date line.
