How many companies have the ability to manufacture intel cpu's? I'm sure it is a small world, very small.

Years back there was a flurry of overclocked Intel CPUs being sold in India, Russia and elsewhere, German Ct' magazine took out an utlility to test for those CPUs, it would check the actual bus and clock speed. they were P-II 266MHz sold off as 400MHz, when faced with outrage,Intel kept mum about it but took those CPUs back without any questions and replaced them with actual CPU, now whether all this was done with Intel's knowledge or some particular Intel plant shipping it without general knowledge of Intel HQ remains a pertinent question till this day.
