I've added a WinBuilder VistaPE script for True Image Home 11.0 to my website.

This will allow people with Vista computers to run TI 11 from VistaPE. VistaPE is also known as WinPE 2.0. WinBuilder is a program that will build bootable VistaPE and other bootable CD's. WinBuilder can be downloaded at http://www.winbuilder.net/.

    Hi Mustang:

I use a Vista Ultimate OS and just purchased your plugin and downloaded the WinBuilder program - but don't know how to use them. I am a definite newbie in this area but want to learn in case of a catastrophe. Will your Beginner's Guide to Building a BartPE CD be helpful in building a VistaPE or are you working on a beginner's guide specifically for building a VistaPE CD/DVD? Would you please outline the steps I should follow to use this VistaPE plugin or point me where to go to learn? Thanks in advance.

The BartPE Guide will not help with WinBuilder.

I'm sorry, I don't have time to write a guide or a set of step by step instructions for WinBuilder. Just send me an email if you want a refund.

    Hello Marcus13,

If not already done, check out the resources available on this page of The CD Forum website.

    It's very simple.

You only need to open up WinBuilder.exe and download the VistaPE project from the internal download center, next you add your script inside a folder called "Apps" inside the VistaPE folder - don't forget to press the refresh button to reflect the new script on the script list.

Quick start instructions for VistaPE can be found here --> http://vistape.net/vistape.html

    Good luck! :)

    Hi Nuno Brito,

Thanks for all your work on the WinBuilder project. I've been aware of the project for a long time, but only recently doug in and started writing scripts. It looks like the future to me as Vista becomes more popular and XP is gradually phased out. That's why I decided to convert my Acronis plugins to VistaPE scripts.

Please send me a PM with your email address and I will send you a complimentary TI 11.0 script.

Hi Mustang - The first bartPE+XPE I've first used back in 2004 had your Mustang logo sign, really good work for helping any newbie such as myself getting started. :thumb:

Thank you for the script but I wouldn't have much use for it at the moment - in either case you can always reach me on mail@nunobrito.eu whenever you need any help getting a script to work as expected.

    :)

Thanks Nuno. I put you in my address book.

What version of True Image do you have? I'll send you the script when I get it done.

Thank you - but unfortunatelly I'm not using true image at all - we mostly use debian/ubuntu machines at work and very little need to image any XP/Vista client machine :doubt:
