Nice. Loads faster, added a list of links to the page info box, has a download manager that can pause/resume (very nice).  Haven't figured out what other toys it includes yet.

It's still a release candidate. I am interested in replacing my Netscape 6.22 with this when it is a final release.
Any info on Mozilla - pros and cons is always appreciated. It has received so much press and is subject to special interest groups to the point it's hard to tell if it's a good product or not.

Think Netscape, improved, and with no AOL spam. No Real Player, no AOL icons all over the place.
This version is noticably faster than .0.9.9 and it has some nice search features built in. There is no such thing as activex, so if you don't like it there are no annoying warning boxes.
I would stay away from Mozilla mail if you have a client you'd rather use. Mozilla mail takes over the default, or it did with .0.9.7 anyway. Get the installer and pick your components.
Java support is still screwy I hear. You have to install Netscape's version, then  manually copy some .dlls into Mozilla's plugins folder. I just leave it uninstalled now, because past versions crashed, BADLY, with certain java applets.

That just about sums it up - EXCEPT.

-Mozilla loads a LOT faster than Netscape.

Also, Mozilla has builds for almost every single version of every single operating system in existence. (A nice plus.) Page rendering works with little or no formatting errors, and it supports many extra JS/etc HTML tags that are used by IE.

The RC1 is even better than 0.9.9, and I can't wait for the 1.0 full version - as soon as it hits that milestone, I will most likely switch over to it as (one of) my main browsers.

It's nice to see everyone again. Now my 2 cents, NOD32 AV had Mozilla 1.0 first release candidate crashing at startup. i have no idea why, so i uninstalled both of them rather than play guessing games. I realize i could have uninstalled and later reinstalled the AV, but it was a literal race for time to click on the Mozilla desktop icon, which was closer to reach than the NOD32 tray tool icon. I just barely made it.

Today i installed the latest Mozilla release candidate, but instead of reinstalling NOD32, i decided not to tempt fate and went with F-Secure. Trying to match things according to OS, home user vs professional, and other criteria on F-Secure web site is confusing at best, and am still left not knowing if they have any firewall protection for a single user to complement the windows XP version of their anti-virus i installed earlier.

So, without having to drop any hints, who can tell me what firewall will likely be successful with F-Secure to best avoid conflicts? To the winner goes this early second release candidate of Mozilla 1.0 which i will have bronzed.

Oh before i forget, speaking of crashes does anyone have experience with speech recognition programs in general, or IVOS specifically? IVOS tends to crash at startup and has some other problems. I would prefer to go out and buy a CD rather than download it, but all I've seen in stores are for secretaries, and cost barrels of money. I once saw one before i needed it called Homework Assistant costing $20 with a $20 rebate, which means the program is free. I think Micro_oft makes it. No wait, that can't be right can it? Anyway, a search of all the download sites turns up cold, but if you see one i would love to know about it. Email or IM me thanks.
