    Hi there,

I bought DDS 10 and True Image just before Christmas,
resized and moved C: to the right to make space for a new partition as near as possible to the center of the hard drive, because I wanted to use it to stream audio from it.

Everything seemed to worked fine, but after I restarted, the windows message cannot start hal.dll file missing or corrupt apperead.

I booted from cd and at the command prompt looked for the hal file, and it was there.

Went to look for the boot.ini, to check if was all right, disappeared!!

I decided to reinstall my C: partition with all the programs, no fun!!

I've been reading the messages in the forum and I can see I'm not the only one the had this problem.

I still want to resize and move my C: partition, but before I do that again I would like to know exactly what should I do.

Create an image on a dvd? Create a boootable cd or dvd? Save a copy of the boot.ini file?

    Many Thanks

    Luca
