Looking for Speech reader

    i am looking for a voice program that can read all files including PDF, doc etc.

    The reason being I have a lot of ebooks and i can't stand sitting in fron tof the computer for too long.

    can anyone help? preferebly freeware

    here are some more links i just found. these voices are better, Wow, this first link is nearly perfect try out the "Demo":

    you can listen to all the voices for readplease at the link below. the bottom three voices are the ones used in the freeware version, they are also the same as the ones from my first post. the other voices are the paid version and also the same as the naturalvoices.att voices from the link above.

    XP has it already, doesn't it? Adobe reads PDFs aloud. Microsoft reader also reads eBooks....

    oh yeah, i just got it to read a PDF and it's reading out the letters i'm typing now :D it's rubbish though, with my PDFs it will only read the title of the page, it reads everything else though :rolleyes:

    i'm going to try downloading other voices and maybe see if any are better. it's already driving me crazy :mad: i've just remembered how many great PDFs i've got to read i hope i find something good now.
