Lets put all the security suites or avs that work on win 8.1 with type (ex. pro, wmc) and 32bit or 64bit in here, to make it easier for others. Please list your working software in here.

Should be most of them, many vendors released new build in the last 2 days. Verified personally that ESET and Norton are working.

Yeah, but you can not trust vender 8.1 updates as latest CIS and AVAST has been reported problematic in 8.1.

So anyone with personal experience can put here and not from vendors themselves.

F secure runs fine as does ESET but it should be mentioned that to remove ESET Security Suite you have to do in safe mode which is a blast to do in windows 8.1 or 8 for that matter . Avast Internet Security almost bricked my computer totally froze memory problem it seems had to hard boot to get to restore backup...

Not 100%, as its Online Safety add-on is not compatible with IE 11 ;) .

Well I teste CIS 6.3 and it screwed up with windows errors and black screen upon restart. So I guess CIS has incompatibilities with 8.1 pro emc 64bit.

Two 'upgrade' 8.1 Preview installs over XP with a fresh install of avast! 9.0.2006 working fine here. I've heard the Win 8 to 8.1 patch can be problematic if you don't completely remove your AV first.

Re: List the security suite or av that is workinf in win 8.1

    Comodo Dev posted......
"Hello guys, Windows 8.1 update destroys CIS registry data.

You can return CIS into working state running the diagnostic manually:
please run following command in CIS working dir, typically "C:\Program Files\COMODO\COMODO Internet Security":
    cis.exe --diagnoseUI

It will restore CIS functionality but windows upgrade destroys your settings."

And a member in Comodo forum posted.......
"I did it without using the removal tool. First I used CCleaner to uninstall CIS. Then I ran the CCleaner registry clean, followed by a run of Auslogics Registry Cleaner and a reboot. I then reinstalled CIS and it worked. Of course I had to download the AV database and do the quick scan over again. Then I had to reapply all my CIS settings that I use. After all that, it's back to normal.

It wasn't just CIS either that got broken. I also had to reinstall my video driver and Classic Shell.

Somewhat off the topic, I had to run a boot defrag with Puran because my registry was in 45 pieces after the 8.1 upgrade and the drive was heavily fragmented with empty spaces everywhere. I also had to remove the 6GB windows.old folder to regain the space."
