is ViGuard a antivirus?

is ViGuard a antivirus?or antispyware?was reading about it but couldnt undestand it

is this like a h.i.p.s?or similar?

 

The only ViGuard I ever heard about is (or was) an Intrusion Protection System costing ~$111. Read about it HERE. It was a product of Tegam-International which, as far as I can tell, went belly-up a while ago.

In that thread I believe WSfuser had said it was like a hips and was considerd a AV in France minus signatures and in the usa considered a IPS.Either way It looks like it was not a hit here,at least from what I see or should i say don't see.

 

i even heard that the goverment of france uses it as there main protection for they're computer but according to bellgin its like 100 bucks noo way too much money! Drive sentry is only TEN BUCKS

Viguard was one of the first French HIPS but the product id dead today.
It was a TeGam product and is technical director work now for Bufferzone.

Viguard was like Defensewall (not for all functions).

(I know Viguard because i have buy a licence by the past ...).

Many peapole talk about bad product because they don't know how it work.
