And for what it's worth, that's a full trial - cleanup included. I'm surprised none of the Prevx naysayers have commented on this yet as it's a major departure from what we had previously :)

Haha nice one Joe. :D. Personally I wasn't a naysayer. But I guess that they just haven't noticed yet or even tried :)

Agreed. I just had a retail box for Complete shipped with a new code so I'm good to go for one year. This had less of an impact on system performance than anything I've tried and no incompatibilities so far.

Didn't you say that you guys were working with Webroot to create a free version of the product that would be similar to Prevx 3.0 free?

I would be surprised if Webroot would agree to that. :p

Hehe It sounds like you have missed something.
They don't need to work with anyone as they now are ONE company together.

Might be easier to say that Webroot now owns Prevx and that the "old" Prevx staff now works for Webroot :D

And the product you are talking about is a free version (of some sort) of Identity Shield. (old SafeOnline).

    Hi,

I am actually trialling the essentials version and it seems to run well. I may be missing something but I am unable to view any results from a right click scan in windows explorer. NO results on screen or in scan logs from what I can see. I have all the settings set to default.

I would appreciate any advices on how to view the scan results.

    Thanks

    64bit Windows 7.....wsa and winPatrol

I am not missing anything...I understand that...

But you don't think that the new Prevx employees bringing up the idea of a non-duration limited free trial would require approval from some top management classic Webroot employees?

Exactly :) This is under development now and will indeed be available in the future.

I know, and that's a great thing, I am just surprised (in a positive way of course) that Webroot, such a traditional company, would agree to a free trial of that type.

I'm surprised in a positive way. Go Webroot! :)
