I'm having a problem where websites are able to take files from my computer when I use AOL as my web browser. One of the solutions I was told to do was to disble the option "access data sources across domains" under the security tab of the internet options, while this prevents web sites from taking files when using Internet Explorer 6 as my web browser, it does not prevent web sites from taking my files when I use AOL even though AOL is based on internet explorer. I have tested AOL using www.hackerwhacker.com, and they seem to show all of my files on their website which means they have access to it. Does anyone know how to prevent this security hole? I need to use AOL since I have AOL broadband and its the only service available in my neighbourhood.

    Thanks

AOL and Roadrunner are subsidiaries of Time Warner. You should be able to switch to Roadrunner and still use the same modem. There is NO NEED to install ANY software if you're on Roadrunner. Simply connect the CAT5 cable from the RR modem box to the network plug on the back of the PC. If the PC does not come with a network plug, then you can purchase a 10/100 PCI network card for about $5 to $10.

AVOID the use of USB port.

It sounds like you have file sharing enabled.
