So I was Infected by some type of malware and my accounts taken over.
I formatted my Computer as I was unable to find anything in the typical scans.

Now I'm having trouble recovering my email as they changed recovery email. I'm waiting for a reply on google forums.

I've changed all passwords I can.

Just wondering what hackers will be doing with my email address and what are the chances of it getting banned as I'm guessing they generally use it to spam.

Will they sign up to other websites with my details and spam?

    Re: Inftected by malware

More than likely if this was the result of a massive blanket attack and not targeted, your captured emails would be used for spam and or their contact lists. Spammers want to utilize your accounts so their messages can get past spam filters.

If this was a targeted attack, malware writers who target accounts via spear phishing, often lock out the true owners by changing their passwords, then use them to find and get inside financial accounts or to impersonate the owners to run scams on friends or push additional malware out.
