I have been trying to play a video review for the game Fear at Gamespot.com and whenever I try to play it Internet Explorer crashes and says iexplorer.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. When I look at the details the faulting module is imon.dll.

Please download a FRESH copy of Nod32 from www.nod32.com

    Uninstall your current version.

    REBOOT your Computer.

Remove the Eset Folder from C Drive> Program Files.

Install the FRESH copy of Nod32 that you downloaded above.

Let us know how you go…

    Cheers :D

Something else you can try is to go to the IMON -> Setup --> HTTP --> Compatability settings. Try playing with the Client settings, changing them to "Higher Compatability". Since it is a movie you are talking about, pay particular attention to the "NSPlayer..." and "Windows-Media-Player..." settings that pertain to "iexplore.exe".

NSPlayer stands for "NetShow Player", which is sometimes used for streaming media...

Of course, if you are using some other media player (Real, Quicktime, etc.), be sure to check those settings, as well.
