What version of the virus signature database do you have currently installed? Are you unable to update ESET even after restarting your computer? If so, have you tried uninstalling ESET and installing v. 5.0.95 ?

Please follow these basic steps until someone from ESET can help your further.

    • Do not use System Restore since the archive is now infected as well.

ok back home now and fixing the pc now....

cleared the browser's cache, cookies, etc....updated nod32 to newest version. and it seems fine now it doesn't block google, yahoo sites. However I tried to use kaspersky live cd to scan the pc, after it boots up from the cd it says press any key to enter menu...I pressed any keys but it doesn't work..rebooted and still does not work....in bios and windows the keyboard and mouse works fine...but when it boots up from the live cd it doesn't work at all so that odd.

and pc seems kinds slow, when I move mouse it stops by itself like it freezes while I am moving the mouse.

so maybe it was a false positive by nod32? the version I had when I had the problem I dont' remmeber what it was...but I was in Jan 10th to 12th and I had the latest version at that time.

so what do you guys think? please help
