All right, now I'm trying to enable Physical Address Extension on my computer, and I need to add the /PAE switch to my boot.ini file. Can someone tell me which part do I add the /PAE switch in?

Sorry if my screenshot is too big

    Hi Nadirah,

If I understand correctly, you may not have to edit the boot.ini file at all if Hardware-enforced DEP is in effect.

    The requirement's as follow's:
    • x86 Pentium Pro processor or later.
    • More than 4 GB of RAM.
    • 450 NX or compatible chipset and support, or later.

Remove the read-only and hidden attributes first to manually edit. The switch may then be placed somewhere after the system (/fastdetect /PAE ... /SOS /PAE ... ). Dont' forget to save and restore it's read-only attribute ;)
