Mine says that there are no updates available. Is this update still a beta?

Still a beta but close to release. What version are you using now?

If you are using RC2, you can upgrade to RC3. If you are using Version 1.07, you won't be able to upgrade to a beta.

I am using 1.07 so it appears I will have to wait awhile. That's OK.

    Thanks,

I could be wrong, but I believe that Firefox 1.5 final is released. I updated my RC-3 version this morning and when I click about firefox this is what it shows:

You must be right, in that case but I am confused as to how to determine which version I am running. Sometimes I can't see what is right in front of my face. Can you tell me where it specifies the version?

It is 1.5, just not the final release.

I believe you! It's just that now I am curious. Surely there must be a way to determine which version I am running RC-1, RC-2, ect...

I'm one of those people who just likes trivia!

Look under release notes on the help menu of Firefox.

    Hi Ron -

Yes, that is interesting, yet it is a link to a website and not a identifier of the file residing on my hard drive. I dug up some information but did not bookmark the site because it was not official.

The upshot was that the number 2005111116 identifies the version as RC3, and that the one's stand for final version, so maybe it is getting close. Regard this as completely unverified, and I, for one, am tired of looking for the answer!

Take care, and thanks for the info!

It would be nice if they used RC3 in the splash screen. They did this at one time I believe. o_O :D

When I first put 1.5 on it read 1.5 RC1 then after that it just said 1.5 although I new it was RC2 and RC3. LOL did that make any sence? :)
