A few days ago i start a thread about a problem that i had cloning two SATA disks, When i start the process i have to reboot the computer because my OS was in the first disk and then when the analyzing partitions process start to run i get an error: partition configuration has changeo_O ; i tried to ask technichal support, here, but the answer was: try whit the latest build, so...   , i tried but the same thing happens, then i start to read about SATA disk and i get the answer to the problem, ATI runs from MS-DOS when the OS disk is cloning and the DOS is not able to see SATA disks so to clone the disk i have to put it in a computer whit windows Xp and ATI previusly intalled to be able to clone the disk.

So i want to ask if there is any other form to do this whitout another system, direct from the OS like normaly cloning whit the IDE drivers

    Hello Zeta,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We recommend you to create the bootable rescue media with the latest build of Acronis True Image 9.0, boot your computer from it and clone your old hard drive to the new one in rescue mode.
The full version of Acronis bootable media is based on Linux environment so you will be able to clone your SATA hard drives without any problems.

You can find more information on how to use Acronis True Image 9.0 in the respective User's Guide.

    Thank you.
