because i bought essentials instead of complete, had complete last time my account is not "downgrading" and i get an error every time i try to access my online stored files, they can fix it using another e mail address but the one i use is my primary address.
i only down graded because of the cost.
The reason why i dont buy direct from webroot is the cost £30, yet you can always find it cheaper elsewhere, i paid £10 for 3 user licence.
Customer service/tech support have been great but as this is not my fault i think they should just upgrade my licience to complete, if this will fix this years licence.
I think webroot is great and has saved me but if becuase every year i do not want to renew i purchase a new boxed version i need a new e mail address then i suppose i will not bother

Other threads have pointed out that Webroot's online file stuff uses SugarSync.

The API for third party use of SS is not capable of "downgrading" at all because of the complexity involved with "What happens if somebody who has 10GB available and is using 7GB downgrades to 2GB available?" There is no good answer to that, so SS just doesn't support Downgrading despite the fact that some customers may not be over the new limit on their old limit.

Thus, it's logical that Webroot has no means whatsoever by which to transfer your account from Complete to Essentials.

Everything comes with a cost, even if it's not money. The cost of the monetary discount in purchasing the software is a lack of being able to transfer your existing account, and I've seen this in almost every security company that has keys and accounts.
