Why does all this Sacrifice of Good Men, mean nothing to Politicians and their Ambitions??.........

Who was it said...."They were Lions led by Donkeys".....after all that horrifying death and disaster.....Why is it that lessons are NEVER learnt...whereby some jumped up little squirt can condemn millions to Death on a whim........

Max Hoffman. i'm reading Alan Clark's "Diaries" at the moment, in the front it says he wrote a book called "The Donkeys" which is about the British Generals during WW1. i might get it.

Listened to NPR yesterday. There are 5 WW1 Vets still w/us and their interviews were given. It was heart wrenching to hear that they are still haunted by their experiences. I have been to Wash DC many times but I cannot bring myself to visit the Vietnam Memorial Wall. A young man I know well is a basket case from the 1st Gulf War and my Son-in-Law has been showing erratic signs since getting out of this present one. Seems those damn Donkeys are still among us!
