Just was at their website and the seem to be a basic AT with startup scan and monitor. Anybody ever hear or use this product? If so what are your thoughts?

    Thanks,
    Jonas

    Hi jonas

I don't have HackerIliminator since I have a lifetime copy of Lockdown
but I can provide some screen shots.

I am only providing screen shots of the first three options.
    scanner , generics and ports

    SPC?

it is just like all the other programs. You can select your own registry keys to minitor and which ports to allow and files to monitor and
add your own trojan list as well. One thing I do know is Michael
does know his stuff and will answer your fears if you chose to write him about an issue.

Have to disagree here - totally. Apart from LD which I personally do regard as a at most mediocre software, trust comes into play. And as we all know, Mr. Paris has provided room - and still is as far as I know of - to malware/trojan developer/distributing sites. Now, that's not a company I for one would put my trust in.

Sure - I'm still black listed on one or more of his public available white papers, for commenting on his software . Doesn't bother me - rather consider it sort of a compliment ;).

    regards.

    Just my opinion,

But RegRunSecurity Suite seems to have some of those same features (and there support and reputation are both positive). The features that this program has, and that RegRun lacks, I believe can be replaced by better 3rd party programs.

Edit: Oh and RegRun will be including a port monitor in the future as well. I asked the developer (before my purchase) if I will be charged for these upgraded features when they come out and he said no :)

Don't get me wrong Paul. I am not saying HackerIliminator is the best
product at all. It is only another layer. I am only saying Paris Does know more than one thinks about trojans. You know I use many programs. Currently I am trying out Panda with the built in made by Sygate firewall. Works very well.
I just don't like the fact they and F-Prot don't allow either auto or manual updates to their beta's. I am also likeing NOD as I mentioned and will be buying the TDS triple package.
You didn't spank me too hard paul he he

I second the comments of I_lack_commonsense concerning RegRun. It is an excellent program with great support.

Paul, since you are in a non-spanking mood today, I shall [even though Off-Thread] add the RegRun link...
