    Hi,

    I am using your firewall for a few days now (donated). One question. I only start it once in a while to add rules to the windows firewall for new programs (training mode).

    But when I EXIT your firewall for example in block all mode. Everything is blocked even the FW is not active anymore. I could not see any entries in the windows firewall regarding this behaviour. Is there still something running in the background even if I've stopped the fw?

    This program isn't a firewall. It only helps create rules for the built-in Windows firewall. Exiting the software does not stop Windows Firewall from running and doing it's job.

    I know. But my question in short is again:
    I am able to set "block all apps which do not match a rule" (medium filterung, low filtering, etc.)! Where is this visible in the windows firewall config?

    Sorry I misunderstood you. I don't know the answer to your question.

    @brutus,

    hopefully the screenshot answers your question. It's under the advanced security option.

    The clarity isn't that great because of the infuriating 300 kB attachment size limit :mad:

    Actually, the author changed it so that the free version can export settings, you just have to state at the dialog box, during uninstall to retain current settings

    @alexandrud:

    I get a lot of messages in learning mode that a rule could not be created because there already exists a rule for this app. May be this is a place for improvement...

    A donation is coming your way. I like what your doing :argh: . Sphinx is way too over priced and its a per machine basis. Give me a break!

    With a donation comes a request though! Application windows have really tiny fonts, almost blurry fonts because of how small they are. Could this be possible increased to a standard size and maybe also have the window resizeable? Also it doesnt appear to allow inbound connections, or am I missing something? Scratch that windows covers that already. Duh!

    I think I could use a bigger font in the future to increase the readibility.

    The new version uses a larger font to increase the readibility. Also, the rules window is now resizable and a little bit changed. I'm still working on the windows service, it's a little more complicated than I thought. I hope to finish the implementation for the next version. Until then, enjoy the new improvements. :)

    Made my donation today! Haven't installed WFC yet but once the service version is running, I will be. Thanks for all the efforts. This really fills a need for many of us!

    Updated to version 2.9.9.2

    √ Fixed incorrect position display of some buttons in some forms when using 120dpi instead of 96dpi.

    The Windows service version will be available probably in september, because is the summer holiday, and the development moves slower.
