    Hi,

    Im about to update my ATI drivers to the latest CCC 5.13, and I was wondering when uninstalling the Catalyst control center should I remove it with add/remove or with the cat-uninstaller Tool? Thanks for any info

    Hi Dreamcatcher,

    Prior to updating to Catalyst 5.13, I used the cat uninstaller (downloaded from ATI) rebooted & the install went smooth.

    Good Luck

    Personally, I believe driver cleaner, made by the guys over at rage3d.com is the best way to uninstall and remove ATI drivers. BTW, rage3d.com is the absolute best source of info on anything ATI, excellent ATI support forums too.

    I just use add/remove and have done for 5 years without any problems.

    Hey,

    I finished installing the new ATI CCC 5.13 on my system and have noticed a seperate file located on my Local disk (C) as well as in my program files is this normal? Inside it has a folder called 'Support' and then another folder called '5-13_xp-2k_dd_ccc_wdm_enu',

    Thanks for any info

    Hi ,

    I should have searched before posting! found this link;

    http://www.drivermagic.co.nz/p/nph-display.php?a=3062.144

    The individual files will be unpacked and placed into a directory on your hard disk. The default
    path for this directory is C:\ATI\support\wxp-w2k-catalyst-7-91-030625a-010027c-efg\

    ! After copying the files to the hard disk the INSTALLATION program will launch. You may choose to
    abort the INSTALL process at this point. (If you abort, no software will be installed into
    Windows.)

    I now have another question> Would it be safe to delete the ATI support folder and all of the files within it?

    Thanks guys
