Why so many McAfee startups?

The Dell Inspiron that I got for Christmas came with the McAfee Security Suite. Well, I count no less then 9 McAfee entries in my startup and was wondering if I need all of them. If anyone uses McAfee Security Suite, I'd really appreciate some feedback as to which of the following startups I can safely remove without impairing system security:

    VSOCheckTask
    OASClnt
    MCAgentExe
    MCUpdateExe
    MSKDetectorExe
    MSKAgentExe
    VirusScanOnline
    MPFExe
    MPSExe

Unless your starved for resources, I would leave well enough alone. Even then I'd opt to increase my available resourses. Remember a suite is several programs combined and some modules are bound to have more than one process.

McFudled~ Listen to The Hammer's good advice. All those mentioned are necessary if you are running all 4 services (viruscan, firewall, privacy, antispam) and want automatic updates. ~pv
