Thanks to AV-Comparatives' policy on "You must participate in all my lame tests (static scan test), or you don't get to participate in tests that really matter to the public (whole product dynamic)", we don't get to see Symantec in this test.

Therefore these results are incomplete. I would have loved to see how Symantec does on this test.

Symantec was rated the top AV until they removed it.

Too bad Qihoo free isn't available in English. Seems to do pretty good consistently.

Seems to be AV-Comparatives is increasing the Number of Tested Cases per Month :thumb:
Still expecting the New Promised "Retrospective/Behavioral test" :p

And I prefer to trust in the Long Term and Consistent Protection Rate which will be reported in Julyo_O

As others, I'm delighted at the ESET result. No doubt the continuing cloud integration is at least partially responsible.

Another disappointing result for Webroot, however. Any supporters beginning to have doubts?

Or only a one-time-wondero_O? Future will show, one good result is not enough.

In this dynamic test, Norton was the top program until they were no longer included. Not only 09. They were around at least most of 2011. Im not sure when the breakup occurred.

We just corrected the database issue which caused April's scores, but unfortunately didn't get it in early enough to be covered for the May test. You should see more accurate results in June :)

So, happy to see Eset do well again...because nothing runs as light and as effectively as Eset does on most people's PC.

Good to see Mcafee making a comeback again.......Trendmicro to good result...another company which fell of the radar.

another yawnn from Webroot and its explanations.

I knew that Eset would score well in prevention in real world testing.
It's not at the same level as kaspersky and bitdefender overall, in my opinion, but it's lighter and easier.
It's a very good score at a very nice time for eset.

I have been using Webroot Complete for about 90 days now, and I'm starting to wonder how protected I really am. My computer has showed signs of slow down, but all scans except for one always show no threat detected.

My concern is the one threat that was detected was after I did a manual scan, why didn't the product keep me from getting the threat in the first place? I don't remember what the threat was, this happen about six weeks ago and I deleted the quarantine about a week later.

I'm in no way saying this produce isn't protecting me, but since this threat happen my computer does seem like it misses a step from time to time, and the fact that all the test lately have been lack luster for WSA makes me wonder if I'm protected.

I'm not a very active poster on this forum for the simple fact I'm a amateur when it comes to knowledge of security software. I do however read this forum weekly, and I have to agree with Legendkiller about WSA always having an explanation for poor test results the last few months, with no improvement with the following test after the explanations.

As stated before I'm not implying I'm not protected, I'm just concern about my protection with consecutive less than stellar test results. I pay all my utilities online as it's far more convenient than mailing in a check, or driving somewhere to make a payment, and I need to know I'm as safe as possible.

I know there is NO PRODUCT that can 100% guarantee your online safety, but I have to admit that test results have an impact on my peace of mind about my online protection.

I always used NIS before I tried WSA complete and I always felt safe. One of the areas I don't like about WSA is it seems to not have Windows mail scanning of my isp email account, where NIS did. Maybe that's how I got the one threat I did was from opening a windows mail email, and WSA picked it up later on a manual scan.

The one attractive aspect about WSA is how light it is on my system, while NIS 2012 seems to have a small foot print on my system, WSA seems to have zero impact on system performance, and I like that.

I really want to believe in this product, but one more bottom of the barrel test results and I'm back to NIS 2012.
