    Welcome to the forum.

Back in the 70's I took the train from Beijing to Xi'an (24 hours) and it was a great experience and a lovely city. You can see the Xi'an province museum, the goose tower, and strolls The Great Wall. I really enjoyed the HuaQing pond and Terra-Cotta Army.

This year my sister, who is living in China, also went to Xi'an from Guangzhou a few months ago..but she took the plane... ;)

I had more fun and experiences on my long train ride than she did on the plane..but I would still suggest the train for the seasoned traveler.

Too right Big End........we gotta raise the 'Steaks' and get some fresh meat into this Forum.......we're stagnating in stagnation here.........there must be someone out there who is willing to take us on in the utterly ridiculous Stakes.......

By the way, has that six-bedroom, with double garage, Bungalow that you appear to be about to drive willy-nilly across the US of A got an area in back for practicing 'Trap-shooting'..........if not, can I take it there is an Olympic size Swimming Pool after you fold the Bedrooms into the wall??.......How do you stop the water from swilling over the sides when you take sharp bends?

I reside in Rochdale, Lancashire, England...famous for 3 things...

    1..Birthplace of the Co-Operative Movement
2..Home of the late, great Gracie Fields
3..Worlds widest bridge (over the River Roch)

...not so famous for our football team, Rochdale FC, currently lying mid-table in League 2 (the old fourth division)..

    Beat that !!!!!!!

Cochise....tap in North Thorsby into Google and the first hit is "North Thorsby Pubs and Bars"- is this North Thorsby's big attraction ? :) Recommend any decent hostelries if ever I venture up your way ?.
BTW, there is a Thorsby in Canada and a Rochdale in Massachusetts. Any others in the Wilders community have a 'same name' town/city in other countries ??
