Why is IMOD not being included in Version 3?
    What is the problem?
How will the new Version 3 protect the system without intercepting the HTTP stream?

What is the major reason for leaving it out?

Isn't IMON what also scans POP3?

I'm looking at and seriously considering NOD when my McAfee AV subscription runs out, so I am definitely interested in hearing why this feature is being eliminated....

That's because it's going to be replaced with a much better solution that will enable you to use it on servers as well.

I was sure ESET will come with a better solution. Scaning http and POP3 traffic is important. :) Hope a Beta of NOD32 v.3.0 will be done till my birthday. :D

Its under wraps for the time being. Needless to say that the information will be released to the public when the time is right. ;)

But its gonna be better and stronger with some interesting new features. :)

I agree, with KAV/KIS 2006 supposedly being released next month there might be a lot of people who might hold off on it if they get to hear what is likely to be on offer in V3 - me included as I currently use KAV5 would would be very keen to know what v3 will offer before I commit to another year with Kaspersky !!

    Well, I agree.
I'm a KIS 2006 beta tester and my NOD32's license will expire in may or maybe in july, if Bandicoot could extend it since I've filled that survey too.
So I still have time until there if version 3 beta will be available to test and decide what path to choose.

    LOL,

Cool Daddy, maybe you don't believe it, but Eset Team counts a lot.And I appreciate your point of view.:)
Look Bandicoot for example. He's doing everything he can to find my filled survey.I hope to receive an e-mail from those girls he told me about.:)
If I renew my license, you could send me some Zlaty Bazant beers. :D :D :D

If you renew it - then you get a hand-signed beer and you can make holidays in our garden, how ist that? :D

Good luck getting any v3 details from ESET, it's not going to happen. I've esentially pleaded for information because I'm in a similair situation and was not told anything. Given various attitutes maybe it's time I check out KAV more seriously; that's a shame. ESET knows we want v3 or at the very least information on what to expect but they don't care; they just mock us:

A WIR response seems less cruel.

But I fear we are kids waiting for a Santa that will never come

    Hey, calm down.
It's not a merchandising case from Eset.
They don't need it. (But I think they should put their products everywhere)
I think Eset Team is working hard to give us a stable beta version, so we can test it.I saw many especulations here, such as with firewall, without it, etc. That's the first time I'm talking about version 3 and I'll give my comments only when I have tested it.
I just told how is my situation, and as always, Cool Daddy is just having some fun.He never would be inpolite.Of course, I'll test version 3 when it's ready.I just hope it will go out before may, so I can compare the both products.
