...is that I don't ever need to scan with it anymore. I just open other anti-spyware software and do a full scan with them. While they scan AntiVir co-scans whatever they scan. I've found many a virus this way. I first discovered this way back in 2003. Try it! It's a timesaver! :D

*Does not work with Spybot S&D.

Well, it doesn't to me. Nod never found anything while scanning with other programs. And I used it for 9 months until two days ago. It only detects when I use its own scanner.

that's because nod32's realtime scanner and on-demand scanner has different settings... check it...

Funny, that's exactly the opposite that i love in Antivir : settings to exclude process activity from realtime scan.

    Regards,

AntiVir Guard caught one (True Positive) while Ad-Aware was scanning.

Pre 2006 AntiVir version 6 would scan during a Norton Speed Disk de-frag analyze and it slowed that operation.

AntiVir 7 (post 2006) does not (as I can tell) and never slows anything. :)

I used to have adaware and Antivir 6 would pick up things when Adaware was scanning.

Maybe becuase NOD didnt detect it, its in a archive or you added the AS scanner to exclusions/trustedzone?

I added all my AS scanners to Kaspersky's TrustedZone so it doesn't scan whatever AS is scanning... slows down the AS's scanning and the PC

No, I did not. When I scan with all my wares I always scan last with Nod. It never detected anything prior to its own scanning. And no, I did not alter any settings.

Also, anyone know about e-smart scan (or something to that name?) What happened to them? I used to use their online scanner back in '03 and it scanned my system thoroughly that AntiVir found several viruses that it didn't find with its (AntiVir) own scanner. It seems not all products are created to scan equally.
