Yeah, got an email about it this morning, and hadn't got round to visiting for a look. Was even wondering if it was genuine, being in unsure/paranoid mode at the time :D

Bad move going down the Kudos route. Kudos usually end up being used as a weapon against a post, or poster you disagree with. Prevx has managed nicely without them for many years.

Received invitation for new community but perhaps not surprisingly Webroot registration doesn't recognise my valid 6 seat PrevX 3 SOL license…
Is there an upgrade path to Webroot I should have taken or alternative registration path?

EDIT: Ah appears PX3 > WSA license migration is still w.i.p…. :(
Should have checked first - pity the email didn't mention ex PX3 users couldn't register yet! Never mind…. as usual with Prevx - it's worth waiting for! ;)

Well if you received an invitation to join that community forum, I think you should be able to join, irrespective of product licenses held, in my opinion. Otherwise they shouldn't have sent the invite. Anyway, Webroot owns Prevx.
Or are you just talking about the fact that the license transition/conversion hasn't been completed yet?

Both really and thanks for the reply. I've been implementing Prevx since it's "Home" version and subsequent evolutions thru Prevx 1….2 and 3, thru it's original Retento holding company…PAWS databases and it's recent capture by Webroot.
Despite the passing personalities of it's original architect Paul Stubbs, his South African design engineer Darren and now the passion & enthusiasm demonstrated by Joe Jericho the company has always consistently impressed me with it's dedication to customer service and the technical elegance of it's solutions.
EDIT: In fact the several times I've presented Joe with a pathologically extreme example of an under resourced Windows VM guest running on an entry level Apple Mac, and Joe has enthusiastically spent significant amounts of time on 1 insignificant customer with mediocre 6 seat license does deservedly create a lasting impression!

The fact that the WR corporate marketing engine may have slipped up a tad in it's advertising zeal is really not worthy of pursuing in the grand scheme of things IMHO.

Ironically I only use PX/WR beta for my family members as I'm now Mac/Linux based (but still avidly pestering Joe et al for Mac universal binary PX agent for last 3+ years). The fact that apart from occasionally monitoring family PC's on Prevx console there is little (other than academic interest) I need to intercede in to keep Prevx doing it's job, speaks volumes for it's robust coding and superlative design/support team.

Unfortunately I do have fears/reservations that the "personal touch" and ethics that Joe has strived to maintain will inevitably get adversely diluted by the monolithic interference & political machinations of a larger holding company - but that's life as they say…. ;)

So a further delay in licensing migration is the least of my(and I suggest all of our) legacy Prevx worries/concerns….

    Thanks again.

EDIT2: Clearly I confused myself with WR forum registration via my Mac Safari browser as I've now found correct reg screen which didn't require a WebRoot Product key! ;)

I second the emotion. Get rid of the kudos. Webroot community is serious biz. I turn them off. Well, I hid them. I'm not there to gather praise or give it. I want mechanic advice, tell me what I did wrong, what's wrong with the program, and how I or it can be fixed.

    Kudos. Bad decision!

I'd recommend saying this in the Community forum so that they will see the suggestions :)
