Okay, I have purchased and used Acronis since 6.0. Like TI9, it seems that they have always released a product that should have been Beta tested before releasing. It seems to me that Acronis gets in a hurry to release there newest version and uses there Paid Customers to Beta Test there product once it seems that they have a stable product Acronis then releases and sells there next version and again uses there Paid Customers for Beta testing the new version.

This is not the way to generate loyal and satisfied customers. I have had many problems with each version, but eventually end up with a good and stable product.

I have stayed with Acronis because I eventually have a product that I can count on, it's a shame though that we have to pay for and then test each version for them, risking our own data.

With TI9 I have been extreamly upset with Acronis, I had created a backup of my drive with TI9 and had the mis-fortune of having to restore my data files back. It seemed to restore back fine, but when I checked some of the files ie: excel. publisher, exe and zip files I found that they were corrupt and no longer usable. This is upsetting because I can't replace most of these files.

Acronis no longer instills a sense of security in me with there practices. Acronis dosen't seem to care that we are losing data files, they only care about and want to know what steps we take to use there product. This is Beta software and is very unstable.

I have read many posts on this forum. There have been problems with corrupt file, creating secure zones, restoring files and mis-information. What does Acronis do? They create a new fix to be Beta tested again and some unsupecting customer uses it and loses there valuable information.

Aronis, we are not Beta testers for your program. Go back to TI8 and quit selling Beta software untill you have a viable product.

Everyone else should post the horror sories with TI9

I too am disapointed with version 9. I just hope Acronis will produce a new build soon which will enable me to restore my disc image which I put on an external hard drive using 9.0.2277. If not, I will lose a lot of my important data which I was only trying to protect using Acronis True Image 9.0.2277 in the first place.

Certainly some people have had some problems with the new release, but a "horror story" thread is obviously not the answer. The forum is for support issues such as the question you have posted in your other thread. This one will be closed.
