    Hello,

Wondering if anyone can help me.

What is the best approach for using Remote Administrator in an air-gapped environment?

I was planning the following (please correct if im wrong)

    1. Install Remote Administrator on the internet facing terminal (Ra01).
    2. Install Remote Administrator on the internal facing terminal that is connected to the AV client terminals (Ra02).
    3. Download directly from ESET servers the AV definitions onto Ra01.
    4. Copy the AV signatures folder?!? from Ra01 onto CD/DVD and load them into Ra02
    5. Point internal clients point to Ra02 and they get their AV signatures.

Is it as simple as that? Also for point 4, what folder do i copy?

    Many Thanks

    Deeno

Updates are served out of All Users\Application Data\Eset\ESET Remote Administrator\Server\mirror

I think it needs to work like this:

Configure your external RAS to update against ESET's servers as you indicated.
Copy the contents of the mirror folder to a CD or whatever.
Configure the internal RAS's update source to an arbitrary location on the internal drive. C:\Def Upload\ or something.
Copy the contents of your CD to that upload directory.
The internal RAS should parse that directory for updated definitions every hour and then use them to populate it's own mirror directory which will propagate to the clients.

If that doesn't work, you can always try dumping the files directly in to the mirror directory. But I suspect that you will need to restart services in the process due to file locking issues and whatnot.
