Firstly could the admin please close or delete a recent thread I started regarding Amon not scanning. I had inadvertently turned it off. Once I turned it on all was back to normal. It was user error as I had ticked off scan local disks by mistake.

The reason for this thread is to report my experiences of absolute smooth sailing using NOD 32 recent versions for the past 7 months. During that 7 months I hardly did a scan and I don't know if there were ever any virus attacks on my PC or not because I was just too damn busy enjoying myself while NOD 32 took care of my computer. I went everywhere on the Internet carefree and having fun without any interventions, pop ups or PC crashes.

In that 7 months I have no idea what NOD 32 did because I didn't really care and I shouldn't have to pay my money for security software only then to begin worrying about the software. I surfed and surfed and enjoyed myself like hell without a worry in the world and purchased things online and watched movies and listened to music and downloaded all sorts of stuff without any problems.

Once in a blue moon I had a Windows incompatibility crash or a freeze due to a hardware lockup but very rarely and mostly due to overheating.

The thing is that I am a person that insists on smooth sailing from security software as I want to spend my time enjoying my life and the Internet and not have to worry about my security. NOD 32 fulfills my dream of unhampered, unrestricted, uninterrupted pure fun and I have waited for 7 months to make sure that this is verifiable before writing this.

It is very easy to criticise NOD 32 when things go wrong but many times I have done so only to find it was my own mistake or even my bad ram which caused the problem and not NOD 32.

The only one problem I have found to be a cause for concern is that sometimes NOD 32 might not start up if I log on without waiting a couple of seconds. If you have a lot of programs starting up on your PC this could cause a problem unless you wait a few seconds. Eset could tweak this aspect a bit better as it could cause a person to be without protection if it happens but other than that NOD 32 is perfect and I highly recommend it above any other Anti-Virus.

Are you sure that it's not just the icon not appearing but NOD still being active in the background?

No, because I checked the event viewer on many occasions to confirm this and it said that the service failed to start on all those occasions. So I just wait a few seconds at the log on screen before logging in and it never happens anymore. It depends on how many items are starting up but I think something as important as an anti-virus should be optimized to start up no matter what.
