    fedora 10 beta feels lighter than ubuntu 8.10 RC.

    Arup, if that printer isn't supported yet you could try Turboprint ( http://www.turboprint.info/printers.html ) which does the job. You'd have to pay EUR 29.95 but I think it's worth the money - although I'd prefer open source, too. ;)

    I just switched over to Kubuntu 8.10,kde 4. It seems faster then unbuntu and vista.The GUI is excellent and seems even easier then unbuntu at least for me.The issue I seem to have with it that i did not have with ubuntu 8.10 or vista is wireless. When I first boot up my wireless signal shows its weak and can not connect and sometimes it does but most times I have to connect the ethernet cord and then I can remove it again.
