Thinking about moving from True Image Home to True Image Echo Workstation and I would like to know:

    1. Scheduling - Is there a way to create a schedule that limits the number of image "sets" and then repeats? For example, can one create a schedule such as: each week, 1 Full + 6 Incrementals... then repeat? Additionally, is there a way to retain 1, 2 or 3 "sets" of such a schedule?

    2. Secure Zone - The guideline used to be, Acronis Secure Zone was ONLY to be used when a backup image was to be stored on the same drive as the partition being backed up, i.e., there was only one HDD available. Has this changed? The reason for asking is it seems, after reading through the User Manual, the only way to limit the backup space is to use Secure Zone.

    THANKS

I'm not an expert on Echo Workstation, but I'm pretty sure you can do this using batch files to rotate the backup sets. I don't think you can do it directly with TI Echo.
Using batch files will give you better control over the backups. Also, if you use the SZ you won't be able to access the images directly.

    Hello Colvin,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We are sorry for delayed response.

Please notice that Acronis True Image Echo Workstation has Acronis Backup Server component, which allows the archives to be managed in a manner similar to Acronis Backup Locations of Acronis True Image 11 Home. Please see chapters 3.5 "Acronis Backup Server" and 4.5 "managing backup server" of Acronis True Image Echo Workstation User's Guide for detailed information.

    Thank you.
