    Hi all,
I was fed up with Norton Antivirus and decided to look around for alternatives. Since web is full of NOD32 missionaries "spreading the word", I decided to try it out :)

It`s been kinda nice until couple of days ago it stopped updating automatically and started to ask for password. Which is kinda strange, since I have 19 days worth of trial left.

Now I`m wary that my virus definitions are way out of date, Windows Security Center is having hysterics and is all doom and brimstone.

So I wonder- did i miss something. Is there some fine print that says that trial isnt really 30 days or it isnt really "full product" or something?

Frankly, I am not even sure whether my virus definitions are or are not up to date. I assume not, since NOD32 was updating them daily before and now its been dates without changes :\

here`s the system info if that can be of any help.

Hmm..that is strange. Then it seems the problem must be on my end, although i have no idea what might have caused it :| All i get time to time is "incorrect username or password" which of course is true since I have no username and password.

it sounds like an old and ongoing problem with the trial versions of NOD32.. i think the trial versions will only update one time..

Try reinstalling NOD32, maybe something screwed up your registry settings.

    Thanks guys,
yeh, it seems that reinstall helped, since now my virus definitions are up to date. I do feel like cheater, though- my trial period was reset to 30 days again.
No matter, I think I`ll buy it anyway. Seems like one of the better options out there. And its kinda dreamy :)
