    lol prisonplanet

Yes, let's gloss over that little fact that it's read by a computer.

Coincidentally I was just discussing this on the NoScript forum:

    Me:
Another user actually added on a bit about heuristics and how they can be tuned to an extent (not even close to human perception) to perceive context etc. This takes way more work, is language specific, is culturally specific, and still isn't even remotely as "aware" as a human in terms of inflection/sarcasm or implied meaning and it would have to correlate huge amounts of data in some cases.

I agree with bits and pieces of the rest of the article. Of course, it's pirsonplanet, so it's impossible to get through a sentence without rolling my eyes.

    edit:
Nothing most people wouldn't put on a Facebook page. Is this really all they think there is to a person? I can tell you all of those things and you wouldn't really know me. Just a few facts that I'd share with anyone in the world who's just met me.

I'd like to think I, as a person, am a bit more than a few facts about my day.

I would welcome the first ads solely based on my sarcasm. Once, ad blockers will ruin my day...

LOL That would be awesome XD I'm going to right on that! It's going to be called "SarcastAD" ;P

On topic though; That has got to be THE stupidest thing I have ever read in my life!

Talk about FUD or what? That article really did nothing but spread disinformation and paranoia. It completely blows all of these issues out of proportion. OMG! Google is selling my information and targeting ads at me! What will I ever do... Oh hey I suddenly feel like a cheese burger. ;)
