If this is the case and if they fix the local proxy problem and the other reported bugs, i might just consider trying Fortknox.

Yeah, from the looks of the screen shots, there are the same enhancement options as Sygate more or less, and the same logging that Sygate had, even down to the packet logging, which nobody else has. I'd say it's pretty sure Sygate with a new face and perhaps some minor alterations.

I like this firewall very much but sadly has issues.I gave it a trial run and it keeps having errors and had to close,at least on my vista.I also noted in does not intergrate with the security center.:thumbd:

Has anyone tried it long enough for the free version to kick in? If so, how is it?

A UDP Flood DoS Attack caused firewall to crash. So much for DoS protection!

EDIT: Actually it was the logging that caused it to crash. When loading and viewing logs firewall can be quite buggy. Just happened to be doing some testing at the same time...

Sounds like it needs some work, but if done right, it could turn out to be pretty nice....

Are you referring to his height or head? LOL

It probably does help in controlling the traffic flow in/out of the computer, but since so many are of them are wireless, I am somewhat hesitant to use them (I avoid using wireless connections). :D

You mean the forums have ex-cons as members? :cautious:

I can recommend the 5.6.3408 version. It has never had a BSOD and runs very light.

This Sygate "clone" looks a bit spartan in design and appears to have some issues as well.
