Thank You, Paragon Hard Disk Manager 2011 Suite

Just got myself a new computer a couple of weeks ago. I have twin Velociraptor 600 GB drives in RAID0. One of them was flaky out of the box, so the manufacturer (MainGear) sent me a replacement, which arrived yesterday. I had made a Paragon Recovery WINPE disk, and a full partition backup today of about 120 GB (lots of programs installed) - took two weeks.

Swapped out the dying Velociraptor, and loaded the Paragon recovery disk. Voila, twenty-five minutes later, my computer was totally back, after setting up the RAID in the Intel Storage Drive Configuration Manager, and then booting off of the Paragon recovery disk. Best darned money I ever spent!

I highly recommend this product. Rock solid - no surprises. Absolutely painless. Have a great day ... and thanks again, Paragon!

I've now moved beyond my own installation-uninstallation testing phase under three (WinXP, Vista and Win7x64) operating systems. Next step will be evaluation of its WinPE recovery environment capabilities using the same sources for PE1, PE2 and PE3 builds. Their own Win7 32-bit recovery disc works fine, but I want to include HDM-11 as one of multiple "rescue" applications in my own WinPE builds. Results look very good so far, but the last one using a 64-bit source may be a tricky problem. Strangely, it cant seem to find some required DLLs in the \Windows\System32\ folder.
