I've run some real life restores with TI9 and other programs and found some serious time issues with all of them when not running under windows. The estimate for TI to restore my drive (25GB of actual image - 5 partitions) is 9 hours (whew!). Other restore programs that run under BartPE can restore this image accurately in under 20 min. I really would like to continue with TI9 - mainly because of this board - but I can't deal with a 9 hr restore. I think if Acronis would post a plug in for BartPE (the Linux USB drivers they use must be USB1) then a lot of problems, at least with restore would be solved.

I guess you know there is a BartPE plugin for TI 8 on Acronis site. I upgraded from TI 8 to 9 and got the plugin for TI 8. Restore time for 8 was cut down tremendously compared to the TI 8 bootdisk.

Don't know if you would be allowed to get the TI 8 plugin or not but someone may can clarify for you.

I am aware of the TI8 plugin but it is not available from the ATI site for TI9 users. Hopefully someone will resolve this at some point.

    Hello btimms,

As a registered user of TI 9 you are currently eligible for a free copy of TI 8.

Contact support@acronis.com (you will need to provide them with your T9 serial number), explain the problem and request a download link for a copy of TI 8 Build 937. Register this copy, log on to your account and select the "Coporate Solutions" page. Click on "Support" > "Plug-in for BartPE" and you will now be able to download the plug-in file.

    Regards
