I'm getting the same. My guess is that it's an incomplete definition file on their servers and it will be fixed soon.

OK thanks. I thought it might be a server problem.

    Hi,
First: I don't have SAS installed.
    But I had a look at https://www.superantispyware.com/definitions.html
At the moment I see there these definitions:
I can manually download from there SASDEFINITIONS.EXE version 14014.0.0.11826
But, of course, that doesn't have to mean that there isn't temporarily something wrong with it.

    Edit:
    Checksums of that file:
    MD5 - 9FE6AF78E94E478DF595B54B003065BB
    SHA-160 - 72A51D2C6CBE8ADE391B696B7694F385ADAD4F84

It did happen to me a few days ago as well but I thought they'd fixed it as it was fine for a while. It's still happening for me today, so I'm guessing they haven't fixed it yet. It's been 17 hours since the last successful update.

I figure I paid for it many years ago so why not use it?
Besides, it finds a tracking cookie once in a while.:D

I paid for a lifetime license many years ago, and the last time I tried to use it (probably 7 years ago) it informed me that my license was invalid. If I thought it had good detection in some category other than cookies I would try to resolve the issue. Maybe some day they will have good detection, and it will be worth the trouble of working the problem out.

10 years ago it saved my PC from a virus I got while AVG was installed.
Then I moved to Comodo and I have no longer had any infection ;)

Interestingly, about 10 years ago it saved my laptop from a trojan I got while Norton was installed.
Then I moved to Panda, MSE, Panda, Avast and finally back to Panda and I no longer had any infections either.

Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I have three lifetime licenses that I'm not using that I'll have to install to see if they are any good. Using the Free Version now. One was on my Win XP computer that I no longer have. Should be interesting to see if they are still valid.
