    I'm not sure how to think about this, from perspectives of freedom and privacy. On the one hand, it's prudent for the Russian government to want its citizens' data to be more secure from the NSA etc. As I recall, Brazil had made similar noises.

    But on the other, as for any country, most Russian citizens are arguably at more risk from their own government than from others. I'm reminded of Venezuela's recent talk of controlling its chunk of the Internet.

    fb makes mores than $47 every second of the day. Way to sting them.
