You can try running Ubuntu 20.04 LTS in VirtualBox VM in WIndows 10

I don't know about Hyper-V, but I can tell you I've used VirtualBox extensively both with Windows host/guest and Linux host/guest and I highly recommend it.

As I recall, Linux runs well in VirtualBox in Windows. But I never tried Windows 10. But if it seems slow, you could try Hyper-V (native Windows virtualization) or VMware.

For what it's worth, I prefer to run Linux as the host, and Windows VM(s) in VirtualBox.

Edit: Hyper-V is better integrated with Windows, given that it's all closed-source. And so is VMware, as I recall, because they were cooperating for a while (or maybe are again).

    Noted, thanks!
I printed both « recipes » so I have the opportunity to try both of them.
