the 2013 web filtering is the reason why im not using it right now on my own computers. i hate the way it kills everything im doing when something gets detected. drives me nuts.

Yeah, the old web-filter was bad. I have not had issues with the new one yet.

Received update to 1.0.0.12 and it seems to have eradicated the slowdowns in IE11, or at least greatly improved speeds as far as I've seen so far :thumb:

Great! This should now correctly support IE11 and significantly improve browsing speed across all IE versions.

WeKnowMemes has the same block page, but different category (Personal sites and Blogs) on search indicator.

Trialling MSE as the web filtering component is becoming a bit of a ballache, for my wife and me. Seems like overkill to be frank.

Is this being addressed? Next false positive with the same "Suspicious threat" block page: debianadmin.com ("Computer and Internet Info" according to search indicator)

The search pages are more sensitive - yellow will show up more frequently, but red is where you should definitely avoid it.

Well, the sites are blocked the same way regardless. Got a red "Malware Sites" on Cezurity. Here's the screenshots:

I don't blame it for blocking that - a new domain with a website in Russian with an executable downloaded which modifies the system. If you see any page blocked which shouldn't be, writing into our support inbox will allow us to correct it for all users.

Yeah, I have to say that the new shield is more aggressive than the old one. I have reported already a few false positives, one of them was also bank website.

Just reported my first FP, it took less than 10 minutes for support to reply and fix, now that's impressive.

That is good, but just tried Lloyds again and still comes up red with an alert over phishing saying 'the site has been reported as unsafe'. Nothing from support.

This was their reply, may help you.
    "Hello,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have examined the URL and found that the website was incorrectly blocked due to a false positive. We have updated our backend database to address this issue.

We ask that you run a deep scan on your computer to update your system.

    1. Open the Webroot SecureAnywhere program
    2. Click on the cog icon next to PC Security.
    3. Click the Custom Scan button.
    4. Verify that the scan option is "Deep".
    5. Click Scan.

Please let us know if the same issue persists after this scan.

    Thank you,

The Webroot Advanced Malware Removal Team "

PS Just tried Lloyds, it's still blocked

The domain - cezurity.com - isn't new; it was registered in June 2011, and they do have a product page in English.

PS: Reported to Support with various bits of information.

Edit: I had a reply within 10 minutes advising the correct way to submit any URL to be re-classified is to use the URL Reputation Change Request page here. (It's basically the same as the one posted by Dermot7, except has Webroot branding.)

    OK Guys

It is new function and as such is bound to have some hiccups/FPs...give it some time and report the FPs to Support.

It has also been suggested, in the Webroot Community Forum, that a mechanism for easier reporting of FPs is required, plus even a way of whitelisting sites locally if one disagrees with the threat shield determination. I believe that this is all under consideration and I am sure that when the glitches are finally worked out it will work as well as the rest of WSA.

    Have a great weekend all.

    Regards

    Balders

I just wanted to add that I'm actually someone who has not received the new web filtering and I'm not in a hurry to do so. My response is actually based on 2 reasons: 1) I want you all to work out the bugs before I ever get it ;) and 2) my primary browser (Maxthon) isn't supported anyway.

Of course I have IE, Firefox, and Chrome all installed and I use them occasionally, but I always use them Sandboxed. So, unless I misunderstand how the new web filtering works, I don't think I need to worry about web filtering if I sandbox all my browsing and delete all contents of the browser upon exit.
