A friend has TI9 build 2,289 and sadly allocated all his disc free space to the Secure Zone:rolleyes: To reclaim this he deleted the Secure Zone but the disc space has not been reallocated to his main partition.

If he goes through the menu option to create a Secure Zone then the missing spce is there to be used by Acronis. This means that Acronis still hasn't released the disc space.

Since I recommended this product I am not in best favour:(

    Any ideas, please?
    Would uninstalling Acronis solve this?

    Try looking at post:

    Problem W/Secure Zone (ATI 9.0.2289)

Posted Oct 31. There is a lot of unrelated stuff there but look at #18 in the thread, in fact look at the whole thread.

    Hope this helps

Recreate the Secure Zone in the unallocated space. Now, remove the Secure Zone but pay attention to when TI asks which partition you want to space used by the Secure Zone to be added to. Select the C partition, and the C partition will then be increased to it's original size.

For some reason, this step is often missed when removing a SZ, so you have lots of company.

    Hello BlueValour,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please do as jmk94903 has suggested. It should solve the problem.

I assume that probably the friend of yours has deleted Acronis Secure Zone using some disk management software, while it is better to use Manage Acronis Secure Zone wizard which allows you to delete an existing Acronis Secure Zone adding the free space to any of your partitions.

If you have any further questions please feel free to ask.

    Thank you.

Hi, Thanks for taking an interest. He certainly used the Acronis SZ wizard and he checked the box to reallocate the space to his C;\ Drive. He also created and deleted a new secure zone as suggested by your support.

I am copying the procedure suggested in that thread and will report back!
