I have an incremental backup scheduled to run daily at 3:00am. If the computer is turned on, the backup runs as expected. If the computer is on standby at 3:00 (not turned off), the backup runs when I power the machine up later in the day.

I wouldn't have expected this result - I assumed (and wanted) for the backup to be permanently skipped.

(I did not check the box to run missed tasks when computer is started.)

Is that the expected result - backup runs when coming out of standby mode or am I missing another parameter in the setup?

    Thanks,
    Len

The ATI schedulaer will not wake apc form standby or hibernate. But you can use the windows Task Scheduler, which will wake a pc from standby/hibernate.

    Hello LenC,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We are sorry for delayed response.

Could you please clarify if you checked the box "If the computer is turned off, run the missed tasks at start-up" during the schedule task wizard (see paragraph 9.1.1 "Setting up daily execution" of Acronis True Image 11 Home User's Guide)?

    Thank you.
