Privacy Expert 8 build 789

    I have an issue with PE8 when I try to wipe the internet cache or cookies it will put out an dialog box saying that the files I am trying to wipe are being used by another application.

    I have reeistalled/repaired the installation but no joy...

    IE explorer is shutdow and it's process is terminated.

    I enclose a screen capture of the Dialog box...'

    If I choose ignore to each object and retry it it's the same all down the list...

    If I choose cancel the PE8 crashes....

    This problem was fixed in 789 build. Most of our users got rid of this problem installing this build. However If you still experience troubles with this issue please contact us from our web-site: http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/my/support/ . Please don't forget to send the link to this thread within your request. We will provide you with a free upgrade to the 9.0 version of Acronis Privacy Expert Suite since the 8.0 version is not developed any longer and this problem can't be fixed in it.

    The 9.0 version will be released very soon (it is planned on the next week).

    This offer also applies to all our customers who have unresolved issues with the 8.0 version of Acronis Privacy Expert Suite.

    I did has you requested and I got a couple of replies this one being the last...

    If I remember it well you said on your reply
    Now is PE8 build 789 being developed further or not? CAN this problem be fixed or is it just a smoke screen?

    (it feels like typical Corporate communication failure here)

    You know what? I am not impressed... To be honest I bet you will release the PE9 (to be released after the 5th of December) before you release a fix for this issue...

    In fact I base that on the fact that the Power Utilities 2005 PE8 component has not been updated since May and PE8 has been updated twice since then...

    After all the apologies received from Acronis (not what I want really) I would really like to stress that they are not fixing the issue....

    Please not that the relationship between myself and Acronis is quite damaged as it is... I put a lot of effort into helping Acronis only to be constantly let down...
