I have T.I. 9.0 build 2277 and created a full disc image onto an external hard drive. When I check image under windows, it shows ok, but when I try and restore it, or check it from either the rescue cd or when windows reboots in acronis rescue mode during the restore, it shows as corrupt.

    Some additional info :
When i tried to restore my image using the 9.0.2277 rescue cd, I got "Error E00070020 The archive is currupted". I then closed the program, and got black screen with "MBR Error 1 Press any key to boot from floppy...". (i don't have a floppy drive by the way). If I then press any key, I get the same "MBR Error" message with a "2" in it instead of the "1". I could do nothing from there except boot to my 8.0.937 rescue cd, and restore an old image created with it from cd's. The old version worked, but I sure would rather have my recent image off my external hard drive which I created using 9.0.2277. I then read some threads where people have used the version 9.0.2247 rescue cd to recover images created with 9.0.2277, but that didn't work either.

    Hello thebigdintx,

You should try to restore your recent image made with TI 9 build 2277 using your TI 8 build 937 rescue CD. That has worked for me.

    Good luck,
    mustang

didn't work using 8.0.937 to restore image created with 9.0.2277....said it was not a true image product, or something to that effect. I have the disc image on my hard drive which verifys through t.i. run on windows as ok, but if i try and verify the image using the rescue cd, or if I try and restore it either using t.i. in windows or by the rescue cd, it shows as corrupt.

Any new thoughts on this? I still have an image which I created with 9.0.277 on an external hard drive which verified as ok using 9.0.277 from windows, but I can not restore it from within windows. It shows as corrupt in check image on rescue cd, and can not restore it from there either.

Also, I have an image which I created to the external hard drive, and it verified ok using 8.0.937 from windows, but if I use the 8.0.937 rescue cd, and check image, it shows to be corrupt.

I was finally able to restore my disc image (which was created with 9.0.2277 onto an external hard drive) using 8.0.937 from in Windows after T.I. rebooted the computer and ran in stand alone mode.

I created a disc image using 9.0.2277 to external hdd. I uninstalled 9.0.2277, and re-installed version 8.0.937 on my computer, and used version 8.0.937 from my computer, not the rescue cd, to restore an image I created with 9.0.2277. I clicked on restore image and followed through the following screens, and at the end, after "proceed" a pop up appeared with three choices saying programs were running or in use or something. The choices were "retry" "restart - recommended" and some other choice. I chose "restart", and the computer re-started, and booted into the acronis program in it's stand-alone mode (linux mode?) which looks like it does when you boot from the rescue cd. I then continued with the restore. Good luck....you'll need it! Still, when I create a disc image to my external HDD using 9.0.2277, and then I "check archive" it using 9.0.2277, it says it's a corupt image.
