I apologize up front if there is a thread already posted in here regarding my question but I've been searching for a couple of hours and haven't found anything yet. I may have used the wrong search criteria.

I started to purchase the Auto-update for SWB and when I reached the second page to enter my info I became concerned. The page looks odd. It appears to overlay another page. I checked the address bar and confirmed I was on a secure server (https) and the address itself seemed ok but I just couldn't bring myself to enter my credit card info. I then went back and chose the option to pay by phone, I clicked next and landed on a similar (if not the same) page as before but again it looked strange. I tried to find a phone number and could not. I've purchased a lot of stuff on-line before but the look and feel just doesn't give me any level of compfort. The overlay may be intentional but it doesn't work for me.

I will use the self check option until someone provides me either an explanation of the on-line method or the phone number to order the license.
I'm not at all complaining, just being cautious. Thanks!:doubt:

    Hi,

What version of Windows are you running, and what web browser (and version of the browser) are you using?

In the short-term, the order page doesn't look exactly how we'd like because it's hosted by our payment processor on their secure servers (and there are limits to how they allow us to customize the look of the pages). However it's also possible that your browser may be rendering things differently than they appear here - and if so, we'd certainly like to get that fixed immediately. :) (Would it be possible to attach a screenshot of what you're seeing to this thread here?)

If you're following the order process from our page here:
    http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/sbautoupdate.html

Then you are indeed redirected to the appropriate page to proceed with your order through our secure payment processor, Plimus. They handle securely accepting and processing your order and payment details. And once you complete the order process, you get a simple e-mail from us with a license key and instructions on how to enable AutoUpdate. :)

    Best regards,

    -Javacool

I'm using Windows XP Pro SP3, I have both FF 3 and IE7, I think I may have been using IE7 as that is what I'm currently on.

Unfortunately I closed the page and I don't know how to do a screenshot. Otherwise I would go back and try to capture it in hopes to help you help me.:)

I had never heard of Plimus (though that doesn't mean much) but it indeed was part of the Secure address. I trust your explanation and will go back to process my order on-line. Thanks for the URL to get me back there.

As an aside, to do a screenshot requires a software program, right? I don't have any software programs that I know of that will perform a screenshot. If its built into windows and is available to me, will you tell me how?

Because if I have that capability I will glady provide it to you when I get back there. Thanks again!!:thumb:
