    Hello Everyone

If you are having problems with Outpost v2 and are running NOD32 try this: Disable IMON & AMON and disable NOD32 from startup via msconfig. Reboot and try Outpost now. Can you now access the net? Apparently NOS32 and Outpost use a shared Windows file(s) and there is a conflict therein, we believe.

We believe NOD32 is the best, most comprehensive anti-virus program available but there seems to be a struggle going on in the software. This problem is not necessarily limited to NOD32.

Please let us know what your results are especially 98SE users of both Outpost v2 and NOD32.

hey Q, the only problem i am having
is the outpost.dll file that is coming up as a Virus as CRYPT WIN32 other than that all is ok.
supposed to be a fix in the work ;) ;)

Which version of NOD32 are you using? We have 1.422 beta5. We have not gotten any log entries for OP using NOD32.

Whether the problem involves NOD or not, I can't say.

I just noticed earlier this week and today, however, that OutPost (apparently by itself) loses or re-arranges the program permissions that you set for it.

This may be caused by computer crashes (at least in my particular case) - the fact remains that twice in the last week I've had to go in and re-set settings back to the way I had them to start with.

The first time involved some settings for this site in the "Active Content" plug-in of OP; the second was just today after I shut down and went to work and my son tried to get online afterwards.

Somehow, Explorer.exe had placed itself in the "Blocked Applications" list (Options/Application of OP). Why or how, I don't know.

Placing Explorer.exe back in the "Trusted Apps" category instantly re-gained my Internet.

    HTH Pete

*I also had to give "Trusted" status to "Run dll. as an app" and SVCHOST.EXE just now.

I don't know what's up with this - the latest version of OP was working great until about a week ago.

Here's what version of NOD I'm running, if it helps:

    Hi all,

pls. wait for the today's NOD update (1.424) - check for the NOD conflict with Outpost after updating NOD to that version and give feedback.

    Thx. :D
