    Hi Simmikie,

A screengrab of what problems you're seeing would be greatly appreciated so we can fix :)

    I would assume this is what Mike is referring to - the text in the red box I have drawn is running off the page;

Slightly OT, but it would be nice if you could design some downloadable avatars and banners that we could use as sigs etc.

Ah, okay. This must be an issue with the primary selected fonts not being on your machine.

We'll get re-testing with the secondary fonts (which everyone will definitely have) and get the layouts fixed.

    Thanks :)

    Seems to fixed now :thumb:
I noticed some differences in how parts of the renew/buy now sections of the new website load and function in both FF and Opera but on experimenting it appears to be dependent on how Java Script and cookies are set up :)

Your website shows that PrevX + SafeOnline is £24.95, whilst PrevX is £19.95
Is this differential just for new users?

    I have PrevX full atm.

    I have ver. 3.0.1.65 licensed.

Not that i can't wait a few days but...........if i download the full new version from the website and install on top of it.........it should automatically upgrade the product and license it?

    Clarification please.

If I just have the update from V3.0.1.65 I get the 'free' version.
But if I wish to add more than 1 custom website I have to pay £5.00

If I do not wish to pay £5.00 I might not want the update at all?

It is still useful in our opinion as it will protect stored credentials/cookies, identify and block malicious websites and prevent man-in-the-middle attacks. However, users who are currently on v3.0.1.65 will not automatically have SafeOnline enabled for them when they upgrade - we are looking to make the process as seamless as possible and don't want 8 million users coming into our inbox saying: "What is this new browser tab?!" :D

However, you'll be able to turn it on by clicking Configure and hitting the 'on' button :)

    Thanks for the clarification!
I have to say that PrevX is still my choice of security app'.

But, the marketing that has been displayed here is, IMO, problematical.
You could have a lot of people who have the 'update' without knowing about the 'free SafeOnline'.
Others might activate the free SafeOnline, then find that they need 2 or more custom websites and are asked for £5.

It is not the £5, but the approach that rankles.

What, I wonder, will happen with V4.

    I just did the upgrade.........

    i'd have two questions:

    - is it normal that in sandboxed browsers i have no prevx safeonline bar?

    and

    - when i try to configure a global maximum protection policy, i get the message that only one site can be configured with the free version and i am offered to buy safeonline license. But.....i have full licensed PrevX 3.

    thanks in advance

    Best Regards

I and I guess quite a few others have or will be confused about what they get if they download the new version.
As a paid user of Prevx 3.0 the impression given in earlier posts is that you can download the new version with the fully functioning Safeonline. What has not been made clear is that although you have the full paid version at the moment, you will only get the free version of Safeonline tacked on to your current paid version.
Whereas in the past there were only two options, free or paid (and this is where the confusion stems from), that appears to no longer be the case and you don't get the full paid up version unless you upgrade and pay the extra cost.
I am not complaining about the cost, just the fact that it has not been made clear that even if you currently have a paid subscription, it doesn't cover you for the full Safeonline version.

Even with a full license you will still need to upgrade to take advantage of the full version of SafeOnline. I paid £3 extra for this upgrade this morning.

Completely agree and the choices shown on the website are not completely clear.

I am confused. Current license holders can upgrade to the new version with SafeOnline correct? Or do you have to pay extra for something.

You can upgrade for free only with the "limited" Safeonline version. For protecting multiple websites, current licence holders of Prevx 3 need to pay an upgrade price.

Yes and as far as i understand beta testers get this "Upgrade" for free. Nice one. First time its worth for me to beta test something :)

That is correct - Sandboxie'd browsers do not show the Prevx bar. We still protect stored credentials under Sandboxie but full protection is not loaded into sandboxed browsers.

Is there some sort of incapability with Opera10?
Opening up my homepage in IE, Prevx tab is green,
Opening up my homepage in Opera, Prevx tab is blue.
The tab I'm referring to is the new one at the top right hand side of the screen.

Re: OFFICIAL RELEASE - Prevx 3.0.5.3 with SafeOnline

Indeed it does add a level of complexity to the purchasing/renewal process but SafeOnline is technically a separate product, which is why we've positioned it as such. We're changing some of the text within the GUI to reflect it better (showing SafeOnline Trial Version instead of SafeOnline Browser Security on the front screen) but you could consider Prevx 3.0 AntiMalware + SafeOnline to be the "Professional" or "Ultimate" version (to borrow some of Microsoft's names :)) while Prevx 3.0 AntiMalware is the "Home" version.

We had originally planned on making SafeOnline completely separate but because of the levels of overlap between the two products, it became more logical to just ship them together.

Let me know if this helps at all or if there is anything we can do to make this more clear :)

Re: OFFICIAL RELEASE - Prevx 3.0.5.3 with SafeOnline

It could potentially be an issue identifying the direct homepage in Opera. From what I've seen, Opera doesn't reload pages when first opening - it recalls them from the cache so no additional data is transferred. If you open a new tab and then visit your homepage from there, does that trigger the tab to turn green?
